A theory about Kristen Stewart.

Okay, once upon a time…not so long ago (okay, perhaps a few months) I was miffed with Kristen…miffed with a capital F! She appeared to be annoyed by all things Twilight, allegedly slamming the movies and the books and announcing that the fans were psychotic and crazy.

Being an, admittedly, obsessed fan myself I was pissed with the bratty actress - who the hell did she think she was?! Twilight was her current bread and butter - it’s put her on the map so to speak - don’t go slamming it or the fans of it!!

Only then I heard stuff about some fans. I saw some shockingly scary video clips of said fans. I met some worrying people. There were the ‘adult’ fans who stalked outside her home for hours to meet her when she got home late from working.

And I realised, she was so damn right!! Some of these Twi fans are undoubtedly bordering on the line of being psychotic. Some are scary and unfortunately the nutty few are giving us all a bad name. If the only fans that Kristen are meeting are of the crazy variety - those that do stalk, do hang around movie sets for hours and hours on end every damn day and demand more and more time. Those that throw themselves at her and act plan scary - then there’s no wonder she says we’re psychotic - that is what she has met and seen for herself!

She may not realise there are people sat home happily absorbing the books again. That enjoy watching the movie a fair few times. Will attend Twilight cons and meet the cast in a dignified manner (though unfortunately not all at these events are able to do so even then!) there are some who don’t find it necessary to humiliate themselves with scary photos and worrying video clips online. There really are a whole bunch of fans happy enough to read the books over and over, watch the movie, sigh over a few photos in the privacy of their home and discuss it with like minded friends - honestly - there are plenty of us!!

Not to mention the fact that suddenly the lives for these people have become incessantly crazy. They went from being virtually unknown to having the paps hanging around gas stations as they fill their car, chasing them as they walk their dogs. Hanging around restaurants all night to snap yet more pics….and then the fans who must be about to be fired from their jobs or expelled from school/college for hanging around movie sets for hours on end and then chasing after them down the street and throwing themselves at them as though they’re a Cullen chasing after dinner!

So, I forgave Miss Kristen for thinking we’re mad - some of us are and those few are the ones getting the attention and giving us all a bad name. I even watched some of her other movies and decided she was an okay actress.

But…this week she did herself no favours at the Comic Con. For one, the current hair she has for the Joan Jett movie is horrid - it makes her look ugly (and she’s really not) and it just looks a mess…she looks like a homeless bum on drugs! She could have done something with it - tied it back, shown it a hairbrush maybe. And then there’s the panels and interviews….either she’s really, really shy and awkward and stutters weirdly like that because she’s nervous. Or she was on something - because, sometimes it really did look like she was. She couldn’t finish a sentence, there was the constant fidgeting and didn’t really make much sense when she did speak.

Though, she was better on a more one to one interview…so maybe it was nerves in front of the crowds?

But then I thought back to the MTV awards - even when she dropped her award (and I actually felt really sorry for her!) she was able to speak okay then in front of a huge crowd and on live TV. She didn’t look so jumpy or nervous (even when she got really embarrassed) yes, it was a little awkward and I do believe that she is actually very shy. But she was much better than she was during Thursday at Comic Con.

Which now leads me to my theory (we got their eventually) At the MTV awards she had just got done shooting New Moon - literally. Bella is a pretty relaxed, compassionate, loving person. She’s mature and somewhat sensible for a teenager (apart from when Edward leaves her and she goes nuts!) Bella is pretty calm and easy going…intelligent and frankly just a regular teenager (even if she is in love with a vampire and his family)

The movie she is currently doing (has just finished doing?) is based upon a rocker. The Runaways based upon Joan Jett. I’m not really familiar with the singer myself to be honest, but it would appear she had a pretty crazy life during her heyday - and everything that goes along with a crazy rock and roll lifestyle.

So…does Miss Kristen Stewart really become and lose herself into her characters so much that it takes her a few days to shake them off after being on set in that characters mind set? Is that why she was so jumpy and weird and appeared not all there at Comic Con. Whereas she was more comfortable and less awkward at the MTV awards - clumsy, yes (just like Bella!) but she made sense and didn’t stutter.

Was she on stage at MTV ‘as’ Bella still.. But was channelling Joan Jett at Comic Con?
